Rachael Harvey, FNP-BC

Rachael Harvey is a nurse practitioner with the ENT Department at SIU Medicine. A Springfield native, Rachael’s deep roots in the community shape her personal and professional approach to care.

Before earning her master’s degree and family nurse practitioner certification from Maryville University, she completed her bachelor’s degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and her associate degree in nursing at Lincoln Land Community College.

Health care runs in Rachael’s family. Inspired by her mother, aunts and uncles, all medical professionals, she began working in a hospital at age 19 and never looked back. Her interest in ENT began during her time as a head and neck nurse, where she discovered a passion for the specialty and its patients.

Outside of work, Rachael values time with her family, especially her young son. A fun fact: before becoming a nurse practitioner, she even spent time teaching art, showcasing her creative spirit alongside her clinical expertise.
