Amanda McDannald, DNP, FNP-C
About me
Amanda has been part of the central Illinois community for more than 20 years. Prior to arriving here in Springfield, Amanda was active duty Army for three years and spent one year serving in Korea. She finished out her career in the army in El Paso, TX, before making her way here to Illinois.
She began her health care career in the intensive care unit, where she spent eight years building a foundation of clinical excellence and compassionate care. While working in the intensive care she also completed certifications in both Trauma and Critical Care Nursing.
After earning her nurse practitioner credentials and completing her doctoral degree, she joined the ENT and Allergy team at SIU Medicine. Amanda believes strongly that health is wealth and she’s passionate about empowering patients to live healthier, fuller lives. Her approach centers on trust, collaboration and delivering expert care that moves each patient forward.
