Suzanne Pokrzywinski, AuD, CCC-A
About me
Dr. Suzi Pokrzywinski is a pediatric audiologist at SIU School of Medicine. Originally from the Fort Wayne, Indiana area, Dr. Pokrzywinski has called central Illinois home for many years. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, her Master’s Degree from Rush University, and her Doctorate of Audiology from A.T. Still University.
Dr. Pokrzywinski chose a career in audiology because of her desire to help people hear better and her interest in the science and problem-solving aspects of hearing healthcare, work she finds both interesting and rewarding. She specializes in pediatric diagnostic evaluations, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, hearing aid evaluations and fittings, and works with both adult and pediatric cochlear implant patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Pokrzywinski enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking. She and her husband stay busy with their three children and two dogs, and they remain loyal to their home state, supporting local sports teams and being enthusiastic Indiana Hoosiers fans.
