Pediatrics

    Overview

SIU Medicine pediatricians provide care for children from birth through adolescence. As a parent, you want reassurance that your child is receiving the best care possible. SIU Medicine's board-certified pediatricians are experienced in managing the physical, behavioral and mental health of children from birth through adolescence. Our pediatricians are trained to diagnose and treat a broad range of childhood illnesses from minor health problems to more serious diseases. Your pediatrician is the first person you call whenever your child is sick.

In caring for your child, we will:

    • Perform physical exams
    • Administer recommended immunizations
    • Assess developmental milestones in growth, behavior, and skills
    • Diagnose and treat illnesses, infections, injuries, and other health-related problems
    • Provide you with information about nutrition and fitness needs for your child

Resident physicians are present 24 hours a day to supervise your child's care.
