    About me

    Kara Skorge, MS, LCGC, is a licensed, board-certified genetic counselor who supports the SIU Medicine Genetics Division. She sees pediatric and adult patients for genetic counseling and has a special interest in metabolics, neonatal genomics, cancer genetics, and neurology, specially adult-onset neurodegenerative disease, such as Huntington's disease, ALS, and dementia. Kara provides trauma-informed care and promotes an inclusive, LGBTQIA+ friendly environment for all her patients she has the pleasure of meeting with.
