Maryann Van Ryn, DNP, FNP-C
About me
Maryann Van Ryn is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (AANP-BC) with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive health services to all my patients.
After almost 17 years of nursing, she is beginning a new journey as a family nurse practitioner. Maryann graduated in May 2023 with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois.
With her 17 years of nursing experience, she has worked in community health, pediatrics specialty care, clinic nursing, and home healthcare, including trauma, burn, and neuro IMC at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
Her experiences as a bedside nurse, critical care nurse, and community health nurse have all shaped her practice to work with families and teach them about maximizing their health. Maryann's future practice will expand to provide patient and family-centered advanced practice care.
Caring for patients with infectious diseases has always been a passion for Maryann. She is excited to join SIU Medicine's Infectious Disease Department.
