Human Resources helps plan and direct administrative functions of SIU Medicine. Our staff is closely involved in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of new staff and supports our growing community of more than 2,000 providers, researchers and staff members.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Center for Human and Organizational Potential
The Center for Human and Organizational Potential, often referred to as cHOP, provides faculty, staff and learners with opportunities for personal and professional growth through coaching, book clubs, workshops, and mentoring and training programs like Lean Six Sigma and InsideOut Development.
The center focuses on wellness, work preparedness, professional and leadership development, and faculty promotion. Its advisors help identify and mitigate barriers at an organizational level to help leaders grow and reach their full potential.
