On Par for Pediatrics invites area golfers to tee off, help kids June 2
It's time to tee up!
SIU Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics invites golfers to The Rail Golf Course for another round of On Par for Pediatrics on Monday, June 2. The 18-hole scramble will be followed by a catered dinner and prizes.
For decades, SIU Pediatrics has provided compassionate care to the children in Springfield and surrounding communities. Its annual fundraiser supports pediatric patients and their families, providing assistance for overnight lodging, food and transportation during extended treatments. It also helps with urgent medical needs while young patients await insurance approval, as well as other types of care not covered by insurance.
"The money raised from On Par for Pediatrics goes directly to help kids have healthier and safer lives. Golfers get to enjoy an afternoon of fresh air and fun as their generosity truly makes a difference," said Dr. Doug Carlson, chair of SIU's Department of Pediatrics and medical director of St. John's Children's Hospital.

* Rain Policy: If inclement weather prohibits play, each pre-registered golfer will receive one round of golf with cart for future play. Dinner and prize drawings will be held at 5:15 p.m. regardless of weather conditions.
