Lori Faber, AuD, CCC-A
About me
A proud South Side, Chicago native, Lori Faber grew up a White Sox fan until she met her high school sweetheart, a Cubs fan through and through. After they got married, she agreed they’d be a Cubs family. Her whole family shares a deep love for baseball. Lori says, "baseball is my absolute favorite sport to watch!" Outside of baseball she also follows the Chicago Bears and Blackhawks as well.
Lori attended Western Illinois University with plans to go into medical technology. But during her sophomore year, she and her classmates were called into a meeting. “They said computer technology was advancing and we may not have jobs,” she recalls. That news led her to switch majors and pursue microbiology instead.
While working toward a master’s degree in microbiology, Lori began questioning her future. “I would be in a lab all day, and my eyesight wasn’t good even back then to be looking into microscopes all day.” Then she heard about audiology and was immediately intrigued. “I thought it would be very cool to see different patients daily and be able to help so many people hear better and communicate with their families better too.”
Lori specializes in adult diagnostic testing and hearing aid fittings. She and her husband have two grown children and four grandchildren. “We keep pretty busy with four grandkids who are so fun and absolutely adorable!"
