SIU Urology Welcomes Dr. Nicholas Tadros

SIU Urology welcomes Dr. Nicholas Tadros to the faculty. Dr. Tadros joins us most recently from the Cleveland Clinic, where he completed specialized training in reproductive medicine. Dr. Tadros earned his medical degree from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. He then completed a general surgery and urology residency at Oregon Health and Science University as well. During that time, he also completed a research fellowship and received a master of clinical research. He finished a Male Infertility and Men's Health Fellow at the Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute

Flack, Hingle Receive Mastership from the American College of Physicians

The Awards Committee of the American College of Physicians recently announced that the orgnization's Board of Regents selected John M. Flack, MD, MPH, MACP, and Susan Thompson Hingle, MD, MACP, to receive masterships. Masters of the ACP are selected due to their "integrity, positions of honor, eminence in practice or in medical research, or other attainments in science or in the art of medicine. Simmons Cancer Institute (SCI) at Southern Illinois University Medicine will host the 17th annual Denim & Diamonds fundraiser Saturday, October 14, at the Crowne Plaza Springfield. The event features live and silent auctions with many one-of-kind items, raffles, live entertainment and dinner. “Funds raised at the event are used for cancer research through our Team Science Grants,” said Aziz Khan, MD, executive director of SCI. Khan is also the chief of hematology and oncology and a practicing oncologist at SCI. “Team Science Grants provide the initial dollars to gather the evidence and data
