I chose SIU because of the teamwork, mentorship and quality training experience I observed and participated in while rotating as a medical student. I was also able to work with residents and attendings on several research projects as a clinical research associate which strengthened my ties to this program. I am very grateful to be at SIU and for the opportunity to continue my training close to home.
