The Department of Surgery will host the 11th Annual Resident Research Day on Thursday, April 18, 2024, in the Memorial Learning Center Auditorium. This year’s visiting professor is Vibhor Krishna, MD, Associate Professor of Functional Neurosurgery at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Krishna has a special interest in translational neuroimaging research. His research aims to enhance neuromodulation’s effectiveness through personalized medicine, to develop and optimize less-invasive neurosurgery, and to test emerging surgical treatments in clinical trials. This will be followed by the resident research competition, featuring podium presentations and posters, adjudicated by Surgery faculty. Continental breakfast will be provided.
