The BRA Day fund supports efforts to inform women of their option for breast reconstruction at the time of a cancer diagnosis. Currently, 7 out of 10 women are unaware of their reconstructive options when they first receive a breast cancer diagnosis. At SIU Medicine, we make it a priority to raise awareness for those diagnosed with breast cancer and help them "close the loop" to make the best possible decisions for themselves.
