Pelvic floor dysfunction is when you are unable to control the muscles that help you have a complete bowel movement.

Common symptoms

Symptoms include having constipation, straining and pain with bowel movements, unexplained pain in the lower back, pelvis, genitals or rectum, as well as pelvic muscle spasms.
