Overview

Liver tumors can be either cancerous or benign. Benign tumors are not uncommon. They do not pose a significant health risk and may frequently go untreated. Cancerous, or malignant, liver tumors can be either primary or secondary. Primary tumors originate in the liver; secondary tumors spread to the liver from another organ.
