Diseases of Blood Cells

    Overview

Diseases of blood cells include a variety of conditions that can damage a patient's red blood cells, white blood cells, or platelets. Common examples include anemia, affecting red blood cells; von Willebrand disease, affecting platelets; and white cell counts that are either too high or too low, affecting the body's immune system.
