    About me

    Dr. Sophia Dar is a Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellow at SIU School of Medicine graduating June 2026. She completed her medical school from Aga Khan University Medical School in Karachi, Pakistan in (2012-2017) and her residency from Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ in Internal Medicine (2019-2022). She completed an additional fellowship in Women's Health and General Internal Medicine at Northshore University Hospital/Long Island Jewish Medical Center (2022-2023). She is graduating with a Masters in Science of Medical Education (MSEd) in May 2024. She is passionate about women's health, lifestyle medicine, obesity medicine. She is actively involved in the American College of Gastroenterology as the Evidence Based GI Journal Ambassador. She is also passionate about women in medicine and health and wellness and is an ambassador for Scrubs and Heels.
