Rotator Cuff Injury
Rotator cuff injury is any injury to the group of tendons and muscles that converge around the shoulder. Athletes are particularly susceptible to this type of injury. Symptoms include weakness and pain in the arm and shoulder, or a cracking or popping sound when moving the shoulder. Treatment may include rest, physical therapy or surgery, depending on the severity of the injury.
