Retroperitoneal sarcomas are rare forms of cancer attacking the space behind the peritoneum, which is the membrane lining the abdominal cavity. This type of cancer typically presents concurrently with advanced disease in another hard to access location. Treatment options include surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
