Personality disorder is a generic term describing a deeply ingrained pattern of behavior of a specified kind, which typically manifests before or during adolescence. These disorders cause long-term difficulties in personal relationships or in functioning in society. Therapy, either individual or as a group, as well as medication is able to treat personality disorders.
