Microsurgery

    Overview

Microsurgery is a generic term for surgery utilizing an operating microscope. Microsurgery enables surgeons to perform necessary procedures on increasingly small and/or inaccessible parts of the body, such as the smallest blood vessels or nerves. Microsurgical techniques are used in most surgical subspecialties, such as plastic surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and otolaryngology.
