Meningitis

    Overview

    Meningitis is an inflammatory disease attacking membranes of the brain and spinal cord. Symptoms include headache, fever, and stiff neck. Meningitis infections may be viral or bacterial in nature. Some infections may get better on its own, others can be life-threatening, requiring urgent antibiotic treatment.
