HIV / AIDS

    Overview

HIV, or human immunodeficiency virus, is the virus that causes AIDS. It can be transmitted through contact with an infected person's blood, semen, or vaginal fluid. AIDS, or acquired immune deficiency syndrome, currently has no cure, but strict adherence to targeted medical regimens are known to dramatically slow the disease's progress as well as prevent secondary infections and complications.
