Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GISTs)
Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are uncommon tumors of the GI tract. These tumors start in the wall of the GI tract, usually in the stomach or small intestine, but they can start at any point in the tract. GISTs may be diagnosed through endoscopy, biopsy, ultrasound, or blood tests.
