SIU School of Medicine is a state university and, therefore, offers several insurance options through the State of Illinois. ► Health insurance SIU Medicine offers health insurance coverage to all eligible employees upon the date of hire. Choose from eight State of Illinois insurance plans with pre-tax premiums and pay a monthly premium based on your annual salary and full-time equivalent. Coverage for depen­dents is also available. Part-time members must be at a full-time equivalent of .50 or greater in order to be eligible for the insurance benefits. Note that part-time members are required

MEDPREP is a two-year, non-degree course of study designed to provide maximum focus on academic skill development and foundational knowledge in the sciences. This is our most popular program of study, for students preparing for medical or dental school (Students interested in dentistry: please also visit our pre-dental page). Partnership with Logan County Health Department, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital March 8, 2017 — A new family medicine clinic in Logan County will integrate medical, behavioral and dental services.
