    About me

    Dr. Kendra Woods is an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at SIU School of Medicine, specializing in the care of critically ill children in the hospital. Before joining SIU, Dr. Woods worked as a pediatric critical care physician at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA, and at Mercy Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She completed a pediatric critical care fellowship and a pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where she served as both chief fellow and chief resident.  She received her medical degree from SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, I.  She graduated as valedictorian with a bachelor’s degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO.  Woods is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
