About me
Dr. Guillaume is of Haitian descent. She was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. Dr. Guillaume's hometown is about 30 minutes outside of New Your City, NY where she immersed herself in musicals, ballet, opera, comedy shows, museums, and plays. She continues to try to expose herself to the arts in her free time from residency. Dr. Guillaume loves traveling to Europe and hopes to continue the tradition of visiting annually.
Dr. Guillaume chose the SIU Family Medicine Residency Program - Decatur for training due to its small size and one-to-one education with faculty. The program has given her the opportunity to learn at a comfortable pace to become more confident. When first entering the program she wasn't sure she had what it took to become a family physician. Dr. Guillaume considers herself lucky to have the opportunity to work and learn with the residents at the Decatur program.
Dr. Guillaume is thankful for the additional prenatal care education she received while attending her Obstetrics and Gynecology rotations. Based on the rotational and didactic education that she is receiving; Dr. Guillaume is confident that she will be a great family physician by the end of her residency.
