Christi Munn, CGC

Christi Munn has been a genetic counselor for over 30 years. She has worked in a laboratory analyzing chromosomes and also as a clinical abstractor, report writer, and genetic testing specialist for a genetic testing laboratory.

During her career, Christi has assisted numerous patients by providing genetic counseling services and case coordination for pediatric, prenatal, preconceptual and adult cases. She particularly enjoys working in the area of pediatric and adult genetics. She has returned to patient care several times in her career and states, "I enjoy being a patient advocate and patient educator. It is rewarding to help patients and families understand their medical condition, support them in their diagnostic journey, and assist them with navigating through the medical maze in order to obtain the care they require."

Christi is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors, Illinois Society of Genetic Professionals, and the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics. Christi likes nature walks, traveling, movies, pizza and sweet treats.
