Lupus

    Overview

Lupus is a name for a collection of autoimmune conditions in which the body's immune system attacks healthy cells. Common symptoms include joint pain (particularly of the fingers, hands, wrists, and knees), as well as chest pain, fatigue, hair loss, rash, and swollen lymph nodes. Currently, there is no cure for lupus, current treatment options focus on controlling symptoms and minimizing flare-ups for improved quality of life.
