    About me

Dr. Shipp was born in Peoria, IL. His parents were public school teachers and Dr. Shipp is the oldest of two siblings. He spent as many years in Urbana training at the University of Illinois as he did in Peoria growing up. Dr. Shipp works in both the outpatient clinic and in the hospital settings. He enjoys managing the hands-on and procedure side of family medicine as well as the higher acuity and complexity of hospitalized patients. Dr. Shipp's kids get most of his free time, and he enjoys spending time outdoors and hiking, mostly at Allerton Park in Monticello, IL.

Dr. Shipp performs and teaches most basic skin biopsies and incisions, cryotherapy, major joint injections, toenail removal, and basic gynecologic care.
